Look above the highway-gate island
The ATMOSFAR pace lever location in the demo is a nest high on the same island as the highway gate. Recorded player experience places the search around the top of the large stone arch, rather than the lower paths that loop around the island. That clue can save a long search after you discover the missing part at the control tower.
This is a demo route supported by player recordings and community reports. The developer's official Wasp highway explanation describes the gates' purpose, but its older development overview is not a substitute for the demo's lever-finding sequence.
Reach the nest and collect the lever
Start at the highway-gate station, where the tower's repair interaction tells you that the PACE lever is missing. Then search the high ground on that island.
- Follow the island's climbable route upward instead of continuing around the lower perimeter.
- Look for the elevated nest area around the stone arch.
- Check the objects at the nest rather than collecting only the egg or scrap.
- Pry the lever loose and pick it up.
- Return to the gate's control tower.
In Surtr Plays' demo player experience, reaching the top of the arch led to the missing lever after an unsuccessful lower-island circuit. Aegir Builds & Beats also found it beside the nest's other objects. A community reply separately directs stuck players to a nest on top of the same island.
Leave a free inventory slot before the climb. Surtr's player experience includes finding the right object but having to clear backpack space before taking it. If the prompt is present but pickup fails, check capacity before assuming you found the wrong item.
Bring wire and repair the control
The lever is not necessarily the only thing needed to complete the job. In Aegir's demo recording, the repair also required two wire. The player returned to camp and crafted wire from copper at the Crafting Table.
Use the Welder at the damaged control once you have the required materials. Follow the repair prompt, then operate the restored lever to activate the highway gate. Check the requirement displayed in your build rather than assuming that carrying the quest object alone completes the repair.
A practical order is to inspect the tower, note every missing requirement, retrieve the lever, and make any remaining components before returning. That avoids another trip because you solved the location puzzle but forgot the supporting materials.
Follow the next objective through the gate
After the repair, the recorded demo objective directs the player toward Rover's Hollow through the highway gates. Return to your Wasp, prepare it for flight, and follow the objective through the activated route.
Do not confuse the gate's missing lever with a generic piece of craftable scrap. The recordings show a specific object being retrieved from the island. Nor should you assume that the demo's end point establishes what lies beyond it in the released game.
