Your camp travels with the Utility Wasp
This ATMOSFAR camp hub guide starts with the detail that makes the system click: you move the hub, not a loose crafting bench, when taking your camp aboard the Utility Wasp. The hub gives you access to equipment you can deploy around a temporary campsite. Learning to pack it correctly saves a confusing return trip when you are ready to leave an island.
The setup and packing steps here come from demo player experience. The developer's official pre-release survival overview also describes the Camp Hub strapped to the Utility Wasp and its role in crafting, replenishment, cooking, and rest.
Find the hub and set up your first camp
In the demo's central-island sequence, the unknown Vagabond's log places a Camp Hub at the northernmost tip of the central island in the cluster. Check that log and the nearby equipment when you reach the area rather than assuming you must craft a hub from scratch.
Once you have the hub:
- Put it down where you want to establish camp.
- Open its equipment interface.
- Deploy the Crafting Table or another available component.
- Use the deployed component for its own function.
The Camp Hub and Crafting Table are connected parts of the workflow, but they are not the same interface. A player can see camp equipment in the hub while still needing to use the table to craft a missing machine or component.
Craft, store supplies, and watch the power
Demo player experience includes placing a crafting table, making a trunk for storage, and running a hydrogen refinery. The hub supplies the common point around which that equipment is organized.
The developer's camp explanation says the central hub distributes electricity to connected components. That makes power an important check if a deployed machine stops, even when its recipe and raw materials are correct. A cable connection is part of the setup shown in the demo recordings; it is not a reason to invent an additional generator recipe.
Use storage to clear space before gathering another batch of materials. Keeping every spare item in your backpack can leave no room for a required quest object. Pack the supplies you intend to take rather than assuming a new island will provide the exact part you forgot.
Pack the camp before boarding
When it is time to leave, return to the Camp Hub's control point and use its pack-up interaction. Demo recordings show the camp equipment stored with the hub when the base is packed. Take the packed hub to the Utility Wasp and secure it in the rear position intended for it.
One demo player described trying to load the crafting bench into the aircraft before realizing that the hub was the item to carry. The aircraft's camp storage is not a general-purpose promise that every piece of furniture can be placed there separately.
Keyboard demo player experience includes holding G to pack equipment and using F to secure the hub. A controller community report identifies Y at the hub control panel. Use the prompt shown for your input device and build; these examples should not be combined into one fixed control scheme.
The portable camp is also different from a Cloud Cruiser. Moving a Camp Hub on a Wasp does not mean you have unlocked the large flying base or its construction systems.
FAQ
Where is the demo Camp Hub?
The Vagabond's log identifies the northernmost tip of the central island in the cluster. Use that clue to locate the camp during the demo sequence.
Should I put the crafting table onto the Wasp?
Pack through the Camp Hub first, then carry and secure the hub. The recorded demo workflow does not require loading the table as a separate loose object.
Does the Camp Hub power its equipment?
The developer describes it as the central electricity distributor for connected camp components. Check power as well as materials when troubleshooting a machine.
Can I use the hub as proof that Cloud Cruiser building is available in the demo?
No. The portable camp is demonstrated in the demo; the Cloud Cruiser is a separate mobile airbase with its own systems.
