Which landing dock are you trying to reach?

The ATMOSFAR landing dock location depends on where you are in the demo. During the prison escape, the objective leads through the escape path and pipes to the platform with your first Wasp; later, a Vagabond's log points to a repair station at the dock on the west edge of the island. Mixing up those stages makes a straightforward objective feel much less clear.

The route clues below come from demo player experience, including recorded journal text. They describe that demo sequence, not a claim that every later version uses the same layout.

Find the Wasp dock during the escape

When the storm disrupts the prison's drones, continue along the escape route. The demo objective tells you to reach the landing docks and find a way to get airborne.

Recorded player experience follows the path down from the prison, through a pipe and onward through the cave-like passage, until the Wasp platform comes into view. Keep following the physical route rather than trying to leap directly into the open sky.

At the platform, approach the aircraft and use its pilot interaction. The demo then presents a flight manual and engine or landing-gear prompts. This is the dock for getting your first Wasp airborne; it is not the later repair facility where you obtain the Welder.

Once you are flying, follow the objective and the indicated route. Reaching an aircraft does not mean every island visible from the prison is the next required landing spot.

Use the west-edge clue for the repair docks

After the later emergency-landing sequence, the trail leads toward old PACE facilities and a repair tool. A recovered log identifies a repair station at the dock on the west edge, while distinguishing it from a weather-station mission farther south.

For this stage:

  • Read the current journal objective and the nearby Vagabond logs.
  • Follow the island's paths toward the repair-facility marker.
  • Look for the descending route and stairs into the dock facilities.
  • Search the buildings rather than stopping at the first outdoor platform.

Surtr's demo player experience reaches the PACE docks, finds a Jetpack in one building, and obtains the Welder in another. Those are stronger arrival checks than assuming any pad or abandoned tent is the intended destination.

Be careful around the plants and patrolling drones on the approach. The player recordings include detours and wrong turns, so treat the landmarks and objective as guidance rather than copying every movement as a necessary route.

Recover the Wasp where the prompt is available

The demo shows Recover Wasp interactions at landing platforms, with a drone bringing the aircraft to the player. At the repair-dock stage, that lets the player work on the damaged Wasp after obtaining the Welder.

This is not evidence that you can summon the aircraft from any arbitrary point on the island. Look for the actual recovery interaction, then check that the aircraft has arrived before trying to repair or refuel it.

The official ATMOSFAR overview explains the game's Wasp-based island exploration. Keep the small aircraft's dock and recovery points separate from the Cloud Cruiser's onboard Wasp landing pads.

FAQ

Where is the first escape dock?

Follow the prison-escape objective along the path and through the pipe or cave route to the platform containing the Wasp.

Where is the later repair dock?

The demo's Vagabond log puts the repair station at the island's west edge. Use the current objective and facility paths to reach the PACE docks.

Is the weather station the repair station?

The log treats them as different destinations: the dock repair station is on the west edge, while the weather-station mission is farther south.

Can I recover my Wasp anywhere?

The recordings establish recovery at platforms with the specific interaction. They do not establish an unrestricted summon action from every location.
